What is User Interface (UI)?

The user interface can be defined as the part that can be accessed by the user using a software or hardware. For example, when you visit a website, it can be said that every point you see on the website is designed. Having a simple and useful UI design has a critical importance for both the customer and the brand. That's why brands don't finalize this design before doing audience research.

What is User Experience (UX)?

On the other hand, the user experience improves all designs, including the design of the user interface, for a more user-friendly, practical and fast use. The main purpose of the user experience is to ensure that the operation is smooth, simple and practical for the user. Measuring user accessibility of a feature that already exists in interface design can be given as an example of UX design.

Design expertise that creates user experience and user interaction in the simplest way; we can define the user interface as detail design that increases user interaction.

• UX makes web design useful while UI makes it beautiful.

Offering a useful product allows you to fulfill previously unsolicited needs of your potential customers. In this frame; users, who design user experience, create a template by analyzing competitor and target audience. On the other hand, experts who develop the user interface make changes on this template, which was previously created by UX experts. It is the process of designing every detail in the template with user-specific colors and fonts. At the end of this design, it is expected that the user experience will reach the targeted level and the design should be simple, fast and fluent.

UX targets users’ goals, UI targets users’ emotions

User experience designers analyze what is important to potential people who visit or may visit your website. In this sense, certain prototype designs are created and their fitness for purpose is tested. After that, user interface designers step in and work on the design details necessary for users to connect with your website. It is very important for users to bond with your website for a second return.

UX can be used flexibly in all areas, UI works in a fixed way with the interface it is designed for.

User experience can be used not only in website design, but also in production, marketing and various processes. In this way, user experiences are measured and deficiencies are eliminated. User interfaces are used in the area where they are created. On the other hand, user interfaces are used not only for websites and mobile devices, but also in all areas from dishwashers to vending machines.
